Players of Bungie's games, such as Destiny 2 and Marathon, can create and link their gaming account(s) to Bungie.net to unlock unique in-game and out-of-game content, use our forums, and more.
Profile Creation and Signing in to Bungie.net
To create a Bungie.net Profile, visit www.bungie.net, click the "Sign In" button at the top-right of the screen, and then click the "Join Up" button.
Several platforms are available for creating a Bungie.net Profile. A platform account must be created before it can be used to create a Bungie.net Profile. If a player already has a platform account, they can select that platform to log in with and create their Bungie.net Profile.
The following platforms can be selected for sign-in and profile creation. To create a platform account, click the link for that platform:
Once an Authentication method is available, players may proceed through the Bungie.net profile creation flow.
NOTE: Game platforms cannot be unlinked after linking is complete.
Destiny 2 Accounts
Destiny 2 characters and data are tied to the platform account authentication method and appear on Bungie.net when linked. For more information, check out our Destiny 2 Cross Save and Cross Play guides.
Marathon Accounts
Marathon characters and data are stored on a player's Bungie Account. Additionally, players with separate Marathon accounts across multiple platforms will be given a choice to choose which Marathon account progress to keep if linking to the same Bungie.net Profile.
This is a permanent action and cannot be undone! Please consider your choices carefully.
For more information, check out our Marathon Cross Save and Cross Play guides.
Changing Passwords for Authentication Methods
Bungie.net does not provide a method for resetting authentication method passwords. These passwords must be changed through the support website for that authentication method.

It is no longer possible to remove or unlink a platform account.
Merging Authentication Methods from Multiple Bungie.net Profiles
Players who have created multiple Bungie.net Profiles may choose to move all authentication methods to a single Bungie.net Profile.
- Sign in to the preferred Bungie.net User Profile using the account credentials that are currently tied to that account
- Proceed to the Settings page
- Link the authentication method used to access the other profile. You will be asked to confirm that you want to move the authentication method from the old profile. Confirm the decision.
